Description
La Chrysanelle is a rare and exclusive property located on the Côte d’Azur with breath-taking views across the Gulf of Saint Tropez to the old town of St. Tropez with its typical Provençal colours that glow in the evening sun, the harbour and the open sea.
The estate is 11.800 sqm and is located in the Domaine Privé de Beauvallon, home to the oldest golf course on the Côte d’Azur.
There are three properties on the estate.
1 Main House (587sqm living space, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom)
1 Guest House (193sqm living space, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, (connected to Main House)
1 Villa Occhi (240sqm living space, 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom, (separate from Main House) OPTIONAL
The highly detailed architecture and features were conceived together with a French architect and worked on for a period of e ight years to create a property that is regarded by experts as one of the most beautiful estates on the Côte d’Azur.
This property forms part of the collection of stunning properties with views of Cap Ferrat over Cap d’Antibe, Cannes to Beauvallon. The Main House and the Guest House are connected but just the right distance from one another, the third property is set in its own plot.
The attention to detail in the architecture and workmanship can been seen throughout. While the main house is conceived as a stately and elegant building in the style of the 18th century, its guest house has been created in a quintessentially restrained Provençal style. The main “manor house” boasts spacious balconies and terraces with beautiful handmade balustrades that echo the wrought iron tradition of the 18th century, and these also adorn the staircase in the tower. Columns with elaborately hand-sculpted capitals support the cross vaults and atrium, as well as beautiful centrepiece curved staircase in the “manor house”. Arched windows and “portes-fenêtres” with stone surrounds and recurring column elements complete the picture. The Main House and Guest House feature front doors originated from the Provençal treasures out of the 17th and 18th century. The beautiful interior doors of the manor house have the same provenance. Missing locks and fittings have been replaced with authentic originals or else recreated in the same style in Paris. Fittings, hinges, key plates and key bows for the built-in Louis XV / Louis XVI-style wardrobes have also been worked and gold plated in Paris. The interplay of traditionally -laid stone floors and parquet flooring enhances the whole living experience. Old walnut and oak floors have been reworked and adapted to the requirements of modern underfloor heating and coo ling systems. The wooden theme is echoed in the visible timbers of the traditional, oak roof structure.
Wonderful stucco works, wood panelling, tapestries, trompe l’oeil paintings, wall techniques such as Stucco Veneziano and Marmorino, wallpaper, stonemasonry and exceptional bathroom designs with Persian onyx, Brazilian and Italian marble and French stone from Bourgogne complete the picture. The 17th and 18th century French fireplaces give the rooms a special sense of style. Small groups of specialists from every discipline were chosen because they still carry out their work in the old French tradition. The interior decoration displays the style and craftsmanship of 18th century France.
